Recently, Ministry of Education of China issued the document Announcement on Results of Assessment of Sino-foreign Collaborative Education with Bachelor Degree or above in 2015, the programme (which is operated by Sino-British College of GXUN now) GXUN-Staffordshire University Sino-British Collaborative Education in Accounting with Bachelor of Arts (Hons) successfully passed the assessment and gained the result as “qualified.
The assessment of Sino-foreign Collaborative Education is organized by International Cooperation and Communication Department of Ministry of Education of China, and is conducted by Graduate Degree and Postgraduate Education Center. Agencies and programmes of Sino-foreign collaborative education with bachelor degree or above will be assessed through self-assessment, publicationon the Internet and experts’ comprehensive discussion to see whether they have had been up to the standard of establishment. The results of the assessment will be qualified, conditionally qualified and unqualified.
The programme Sino-British Collaborative education in Accounting was permitted to be held by Ministry of Education in 2012, and began to enroll students in September. It is the first Sino-foreign collaborative education programme that is permitted by Ministry of Education in Guangxi. Since it was established, it strictly followed laws, regulations and documents on Sino-foreign collaborative education, and now it has been on track.
The result that the programme passed the assessment as qualified means that the College has the qualification to set up the programme, and the College will work harder to promote the internalization of education by making use of excellent foreign educational resources based on this good foundation.
